Differences between Rekluses

Hey everyone, not sure if im posting this in the right place.

I have kind of a dumb question, someone is selling me an almost new core exp 3.0 rekluse for next to nothing, the problem is that it's not the right model for my dirtbike (07 yz450f). What changes between the correct model for my dirtbike and this one? Is there anyway to buy and replace the components that are different?

Thanks in advance

It is the rekluse that fits the following dirtbikes:

Husaberg FE 450 (13-14)

Husaberg FE 501 (13-14)

Husqvarna FC 450 (14-15)

Husqvarna FE 450 (2014)

Husqvarna FE 501 (14-15)

KTM 450 EXC (12-13)

KTM 450 SMR (2014)

KTM 450 SX-F (13-15)

KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition (12-13)

KTM 450 XC-F (13-15)

KTM 450 XC-W (12-15)

KTM 500 EXC (12-15)

KTM 500 XC-W (12-15)

That won't work. The Ktms all use the hydraulic slave cylinder to make it work. The Yamaha at a minimum will need whatever rekluse uses to create space in the clutch pack. Also not sure if the clutch plates are the same shape. If they are the basic part of the clutch would swap over.

The best thing is to call rekluse. The customer service has been excellent.

The problem, quit simply, is that the 3.0 replaces two friction plates in your plate stack, and the size, number, and pattern of the "ears" on the KTM plates don't match up with the YZ.

You need one that fits Yamaha.

It won't fit or work.

Now that that is settled.  Anyone know off hand if they make one for a 98 YZ400f?

Call or email Rekluse.  They have excellent customer service.  If you don't see it in their catalog maybe they have a way of making a "one-off" for you.
