I am considering making the trip to the Springs to check it out. I have not been down there yet.

I am thinking about going to that one also. I went to the first Wild Rat on Feb 2nd, had a blast. Went on Saturday the 1st to practice, but the wind was blowing so hard I didn't practice. Anyway, if you go have fun.

Hey guys... I don't think I'm going to race, but I'm thinking of coming out to spectate. 4 hours of waiting and 20 minutes of racing isn't my bag but I'll be there to watch if the weather is nice.

Expect a huge crowd. There were something like 1100 riders there last year! It's also a fun track.

If you decide to come down, lemme know your class and number...

What are those tracks like?

Like anything up here?

The waiting part does suck, so I usually race

at least 2 classes.

Cliff, sorry I'll miss ya, but I'll be in Turkey at the RMEC enduro.

Hokie, Aztec is a nice track. ALL the jumps are pretty forgiving. There's one double-double section on the south track that's tricky, but not overly. Other than that, there isn't really much to be afraid of, and I'd know, I'm afraid of everything.

We're going out Sunday for a practice session, wanna come join us?

Thanks for info :)

Won't have enough time to head up to Berthoud although I would have liked to visit one of my favorite tracks ! Maybe next time.

I'm gonna make time to stop by and see Mel K. if any of you guys know him. Sounds like he's doing much better.

Merf: if you see Dennis L. at the enduro, tell him I said "Hi".

Cliff,

I don't know Mel but you might send Byron a question. He has a blurb on the Aztec website that says Mel is showing improvement but that's extent of the info. Aztec's website is www.aztecraceway.com

Merf

PS, I'll pass along the greets to DL. I'll probably see him at the 500..

Hey guys,

Kinda off topic but........

I'll be in the Springs during the weekend of March 16th and 17th, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the races will be that weekend ? I don't think a schedule is posted on the SRAC website. I'd like to come out and see some of my old racing buddies, and also meet some of the guys from TT.

THANKS

I would, but I am racing the HS at Berthoud on Sunday.

You should come up and ride in that!

Dammit... didn't even know it was happening. My bike is far from race-prepped. I haven't touched it since I raced the CC at Aztec a couple weeks ago. A quick oil change and it'll be practice prepped though. I'm also refurb'ing the inside of my trailer this weekend.

Have fun and good luck!

LOL... no time to get prepped. I refuse to show up to a race with a half-ass prep job. Is this the last race in the series?

I raced two weeks ago at the CC at Aztec (won the 40+ class) and am going to Turkey in a month for the RMEC round 2. Gotta choose my battles here. :)

Have fun..

Yes yes yes, stay away! That's awesome!

I'm going to try one of those enduro's this year, sounds like fun.

This is the last HS this year at Bertoud, assuming they still have it after the snow yesterday. Pretty sure it will all be gone by Sun. though.

There is an AMA National HS at Milliken this year,

April 13,14. Check it out:

LOL...

I just saw that National HS on the schedule at Milliken. I was thinking about doing that one. I haven't raced a HS since Julesburg was a regular event. Sounds like fun!

BTW, that CC kicked my butt. My muscles were sore before I even got home. Super bowl Sunday was sheer agony. My inner thighs hurt so bad I couldn't lift my feet to change my socks.
