WR400 back from the dead

I hope you put a NEW pilot jet in... it would definitely need one. Also the Pilot-Air-Jet and Main-Air-Jet passages/Jets may be blocked, so the Pilot mixture and vacuum will be wrong.

Also make sure there is a good seal from Carb to Motor with no holes in rubber, any air leak will cause rough running.

new pilot jets on the way, but not installed yet. I have pulled every jet out and made sure no passages or jets are clogged. It does not pop on decel... maybe its too rich? Main jet seems a little lean but the needle seems spot on because it pulls great 1/4-3/4 throttle.

That really blows! Better you found out now though.

For anybody thats still interested... the project is not dead yet thanks to some jb weld. I flushed out the bottom end with diesel and a couple oil changes.

also fixed several minor oil leaks and sorted out the wiring. Installed the R&D remote fuel screw and now she idles like a champ.

There has been some progress over the last month.

New cylinder head

Some LED lights

Oversize front brake rotor

Some new plastic

Lots of oil leaks fixed

New chain and sprockets...

Been having a lot of fun on it. Starts 2-3 kicks usually. Does not smoke at all which is suprising since the rings were all stuck and rusty the first time i took it apart.
