End cap on exhaust 2014 yz450f

So long story short, I flipped my bike back 5th gear clippin along (I usually have the back brake covered but I didn't this time) and in the midst of it, I put a big dent in the end can on the exhaust (like the furthest piece back). I am wondering can I drill the rivits out and put a new end cap on or is that attached to the core of the exhaust?

Actually I put a dent in mine also.

Drilled out the rivits to try to bend it out... you can take it off an on easily, no problem there.

Problem was, I wasn't able to bend it out because of some stiffeners inside the cap.

I also didn't find a replacement part...so just put it back on for now..

So the end cap comes off as one piece? That's good to know! Because I was into my yamaha dealer ship yesterday and the guy put up the schematic on the computer of the exhaust and there was a number for the end cap (it was just pointing to the end of the exhaust. And the part was 42 dollars.

Yea but that one don't look as good as the oem one and it's 100 dollars more haha

That's a personal opinion. I think it looks way better! Further more, if you plan to ride anywhere aside from a mx track chances are that a spark arrestor will be required. This is a low cost alternative to a full slip on sparky and it looks good too.

Yeaa I hear where your coming from. But where I ride there isn't anyone regulating it for sound or anything. And I barely ride at the track anyways haha!

We should all email Lexx and get them on building one of these for our 14+ bikes. I emailed them a while back inquiring about this, they said it's gonna be a while. No eta and very vague.

Looked into the issue again. I assume you refer to No26 in the following depiction? -> Exhaust

Seems to be just fiber, nothing more..  :cry:
