Oil change bolt size help

2 posts in this topic

Quick question and cant believe I'm asking this ;)

Just dumped and re-filled the oil on 08 WR450.

Sump bolt back in "check".

Now I have 2 bolts left over:

The oil level check bolt that goes in the crank case and the  other one that goes in the cylinder.

They are both different lengths and I cant remember which one goes where.  The manual doesnt really (from what I can read) say where the long/short bolt goes.

Appreciate any help :)

The long one will bottom out and the bolt head will not seat properly if you put the long one in the shallow hole.

You have a 50 /50 shot
