High rpm, seems like a rev limiter.

2002 wr426. Just got this bike, starts and runs strong. I come off 2 stroke 250,, came out on straight and let it rip, when I got to high rpm seemed like a rev limiter,, sputtered at hi rpm. I'm assuming this is the gray wire still being connected ?

All four strokes have a rev limiter

The gray wire raises the limit.

There is not reason to hit the rev limiter, as the power rolls off a good 2 thousand rpm before that.

Yes, I'm still used too 2 stroke, letting it scream.

No reason to hit the limiter...unless of course you're way nose down off a jump. The old "panic rev."

Yes, I'm still used too 2 stroke, letting it scream.

Yeah, but two strokes sign off WAAY before a four stroke

Yes, I'm still used too 2 stroke, letting it scream.

THAT is why they have rev limiters.

^ Reminds me of the 04 RMZ/KXF 250's horror stories.
