changing front and rear sprockets for highway use on a wr426

I Need Help! I have standard gearing which I think is 14/50.. can you only change your back sprocket ? I need more high end speed. what should I do ? help!!!

well if a bigger fits it fits.

and makes a bigger difference.

15 is common and may fit.

a 15 would not fit my 09 crf450

my aprilia sxv has a 18t front sprocket lol

you can change the rear to the smallest avaliable but you may find it will try to eat chain sliders.

so stock wr come with 14 teeth in front? and why would it eat the chain slider?

No. Stock WR comes with a 13/50. If you want to make it better for highway go to a 14 or reduce the rear to a 48 or do both.

Oops that is for a wr450. I'm not sure about a 426.

I run a 16 on my super moto it's a 426

putting a 16 in the front  does that eat up your chain slider? and do you even need a chain slider? also I heard taking one tooth from front is like taking 3 from back. ?

It hits it ,but the chain doesn't rub on that part of the guide. And yes 1 tooth on the countershaft is equal to 3 on the rear..
