2006yz450f jetting question

4 posts in this topic

I have a 2005 yz250f with a 45 pilot jet. My 2006yz450f has a 42 pilot jet and I'm wondering if I can jus swap them. The 450 is a little hard to start. Everything else has been checked. Any thoughts?

They are both kehin fcr carbs, so yes you can swap them but it's not going to help your hard starting issue, should post this is the yz section of the forums

It will swap in, and if both jets are clear and clean, it might help the starting.  Either way, the 45 is the right jet for an '06 at anything between sea level to 3500-4000 feet.
