Front brake line mounting?

Does anyone out there have a good way to mount a fastline brake line to the front fork gaurd? I have tried a ton of different ideas and I keep shoveing the line into the rotor and wearing a hole through it at seventy dollars a pop. Any ideas would be greatly appiceriated.

The Yamaha dealer at 55th St in Boulder sells a nice little clamp for $16.95 that solves this problem. I also ate a line before I had this clamp.

I took a small clamp like for a car fuel line( radiator clamp). Anyway I took a thin piece of metal the width of the clamp's band and heated it and pushed it thru the upper hose guide parallel to the fork leg. Then I simply inserted the hose in the clamp and tightened it. It is a very clean installation almost invisible. The only thing to watch was the fork guard guide. It has an arm that sticks forward that catches on the line as the fork compresses. I cut the piece off with a hacksaw and cleaned it up with a belt sander(off the bike of course lol). I have been running this for a while with no problems. The use of the stock lower clamp somehow mounted to the upper part of the guard never seemed to look like it would work any better. It would also be heavier than the hose clamp. Good Luck. Also check if it was the rotor or was it that guide I was referring to that eats your hose. Cya

the local yamaha dealer ordered it for me. it sells for $20.00. i never used it because i am running a set of dsp carbon fiber fork guards with the mount built in. they are expensive, over $100.00 but very nice. the am-pro mounts with two screws in back of the fork guard, the hose mount separates in front to hold the hose in place. i recommend removing the fork guard guide, it has a tendancy to grab the hose. i have also thought about heat shrinking a stiff metal rod to form the brake line to keep it out of the rotor and forks, a cleaner method than a clamp , but not needed on the dsp's. if you want the am-pro clamp call me at (928)-772-4250 .

I used the existing clamp but fabricated an aluminum bracket out of 1x1x1/8" stock to hold it. I made this bracket long enough to cover the two holes in the fork guard. I also added a couple of "lightening" holes for looks. I epoxied and riveted the bracket in place.

I took a piece of 1"X1" aluminum angle that was only .062 thick and made a very nice unit that I riveted to the guard. I cut the plastic loops off and placed it over the holes that remained. I used the clamp from the bottom of the fork to hold the line. I also made a little holder that mounted on the caliper to keep the line from sagging and getting into the rotor, because it will. Just my two cents, the whole thing cost me about 4 bucks and two hours of eyeballing.
