GYTR rear disc guard and lower chain guide

Just wondered if anyone else out there has tried these yet? GYTR Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, direct replacement for the original rear disc guard and lower chain guide.

After splitting a few of the original rear disc guards (once bending a rear disc too) and distorting a few lower chain guides, I took the plunge and bought one of each.

My last original chain guide - in relatively good order compared to some i've removed!

The original disc guard - hadn't been on long either.

So far only the chain guide has taken a knock, but as you can see it has shrugged it off pretty well and is still perfectly aligned (the original aluminium one would be bent against the rear sprocket with that sort of impact!).

So far, so good!

ever tried something like TM? Tough Made I guess.

I believe it's a re branded TM design works. It's good stuff.

I haven't tried them. They aren't so readily available in the UK yet.

Both disc guard and chain guide have survived some decent rock strikes and still work fine! I'd agree, good equipment!

I have been thinking about getting the GYTR chain guide.

How much wider (in overall width) than the stock one is it?

I see.. got a TMD as my chain guide. Pricey, hopefully it'll be worth it.
