rebuilding forks

8 posts in this topic

The manual specifies 20 ounces, but as I recall, it takes a little over a quart to do both sides.  What's the problem with measuring the level?  It is the only really accurate way to fill them, and the level will make a pretty big difference in the fork's behavior.

What fancy tools? For oil level? Take a straight section of coat hanger, mark it at 110mm, and use it as a dip stick.

I like that idea! One quart did both forks on my 09 when I replaced seals. Thats not including inner cartridge.
