7 posts in this topic

I Herd theres a new layout for 2014. Id really like to race this year, but id like to have a idea of its gonna be a death trap track this year or not, before I drop $200 or more on this race.

Last years track was fun to watch but less the stellar for rider safty lol

It's motorama.   It is always a "death trap".  It's an insanely tight arena!

friends don't let friend race crash-a-roma haha...

all joking aside, I think they would have had to learn after last year's 'landing in the stands' incident.  Hopefully anyway.

They said on their site something about a video tour of the track but it wasn't there. Guesse it will be a surprise.

I raced there the last 2 years, and it doesnt really matter what the track design is. Way too many people in a small area. Not to mention theres plenty of goons that dont hold their lines very well.

      Hi everyone! Myself and a few others are trying to start a business of an indoor/outdoor motox track and an atv/utv trail in the Pennsylvania Region. We are in the process of everything and we need a survey done to get some idea of peoples interests and to gather data. It does not matter where you are from, every bit of data helps us. Would you mind taking the survey? It takes 3 minutes to do all 20 questions!

      Riders,
      I know there are many of us that ride in these areas and there are often threads regarding information/rides for these areas  scattered throughout the forum.  I thought that it might be beneficial and useful for all of us if we can have this thread as the go to for information regarding Reading Anthracite and Anthracite  Outdoor Adventure Area.    I think we can use this thread as a way of streamlining information for;

      1. General information/ first hand experience type of questions that riders who are interested in these areas may have for those of us who ride there often.

      There is a ton of information about RAC and AOA that your not going to find on a website - RAC doesn't even have a website.

      2. Exchange of direction/GPS tracks/ride routes/ and parking locations.

      Again there is very little "formal" maps, route directions etc for the RAC lands- this can be a great way for us to share our ride routes, GPS track etc.  Safe parking places etc.

      3. Post upcoming rides and meet ups-  I know I have talked to many of you who ride these areas alone and would like to meet up with some "riding buddies".  I know from first hand experience that riding deep into RAC land by myself  isn't exactly the smartest thing I can do.  Riders can use this thread as a way to meet up with others, maybe even have a few planned "get togethers" a year where a bunch of us meet up and ride, grab some grub and then a few drinks after the day is over.

      Ok, so that I my idea, I hope some others are interested.  Lets see where this goes.

      We're headed to Doublin Gap on Saturday this time. Forecast is shaping up good so far.
