1st Oil Service on '13 WR450 - Any Screens to Clean?

2 posts in this topic

I'll be performing the 1st oil service upon break-in completion very soon.

Can anyone tell me if there are any oil screens to clean at that time?

I was told, during purchase inspection, that there is a screen in the cases, near the transmission, but they also told me not to clean it.

There is a screen in the cases, but what "they" didn't tell you is that unless you split the cases, there's no way to get at it.  (you can see it if you take the stator housing off, but that's it.

Otherwise, only the oil filter and two drain plugs.

Didn't you get a service manual with the bike?  You should have.
