What's the difference?

We'll I recently found a 2000 yz426f and wanted to know how much of a difference power wise compared to a 2005 yz450f. I know the 426 will be about 15 pounds heavier but I want to know how much difference motor wise. The 450 has stock header and FMF spark arrestor muffler. The 426 has full DR.D exhaust and a 2005 yz450f cams and carb, also has 10 hours on a full rebuild.

Power should be similar.  I hope these bikes are very cheap.  I can't see buying a 10-15 year old bike when low hour 06 and 07 can be had in the 2k Range.  They are much better bikes also.

Yes the 426 is $1500. I'm not looking at a 2005 450 I have ridden my friends and just wanted something to compare it to.

I'm not sure about power delivery, but my friends stock 426 is a beast for. I have raced a 2004 crf450 for the 2004 season and I think it's comparable power, but the 426 was heavier feeling. Granted the crf was set up for me. The 426 is a good bike.

Ok thanks for the info. I'm only 5"8 and 150 pounds with gear so I think power between the two won't matter so much. I don't track ride, only trail and desert hill climbing so the weight won't be a problem. I'm only concerned with reliability and price. Here's some pics
