Help! What is this springy thing I found?! 00 426f

Hey TT!  I found this on my bench after splitting the case of a 2000 yz426f.  Where did it come from/does it go?

That's the contact pin and spring from the neutral switch. It can be replaced by removing the switch and slipping it back in place. Nothing else needs to be removed, just the switch. Left side, behind the shift lever.

Careful with the switch.  It seals by sliding an O-ring into a quarter-sized bore.  Don't get heavy handed with the plastic parts.

Ahhhh... Use the 3 pound hammer, not the 5.  Got it!
