I thought I would pass along my findings,I just tore down my racer’s 03 WR450f to ready for the next GNCC season. This bike has 9 GNCCs a few local HS and at least as many practice sessions. The valves were within tolerance the piston and rings end gaps still within new specification, as well as no measurable wear of the cylinder. Our maintenance schedule is change oil after every race or practice session and clean the SS filter. We are pleased. BTW the 04 starting system update parts are on national backorder.
