Wheel Bearings

1 post in this topic

I need to replace the front rear wheel bearings (and seals) on my 06 yz450. It has aftermarket hubs so I was looking online to buy the bearings by using the part numbers. The existing bearings on the rear have a part number 6205rs and the front bearings are 60/282rs. I have found lots of bearings online with those part numbers and the hole diameter measurements all sound correct. But the thicknesses seems to be off by a fair amount. On the rear bearings all the online suppliers show their bearings to be 15mm thick, but when I measure the thickness of mine (the ID) I get approximately 11mm. I am getting a similar difference for the fronts. I haven't pulled the bearing out of the hubs yet, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something?
