I'd recommend checking the owners manual or maintenance manual for any guidance for long term storage. If nothing there then you may want to drain the gas out of the tank. That's all i'd do.

Sorry to hear you're about to get snowed in.

The manual says to fill the tank with fuel would there be a reason for that? Something with the fuel pump or anything? I would think drain the fuel as well because the gas I get up where I live is garbage an that ethanol I just dont trust sitting in there for long

You can buy a stabilizer for ethanol fuel and they want to store it full due to condensation issues. Water will and can form due to temp changes.
