old gas in tank

2 posts in this topic

I have on 09 WR450 that has been sitting in the barn for about 1 year with gas in the tank. Obviously the old gas has gone bad because she wont start.  I have drained the tank.  Do I need to drop the bowl and clean jets to get her to fire off or will some fresh gas get her going? Any additive I could add that would do the trick? What to do?  Appreciate any advice.

Yes.

More than likely, the carb will be very corroded and need removal and cleaning......unless you treated the gas, or used 'real' gas....
