06-09 YZ450 tank on 07-11 WR450

Will this fit with the stock WR seat? I am aware the shrouds may need to be changed but will the front of the seat fit etc? thanks

anyone?

I'm not sure but I do know between the 07 yz450f and 09 wr450f that the rear bracket, where the 2 bolts go through the seat to side panel to subframe, is in a different location.

Just an update to say it does fit fine.

I have an 09 WR and I buying an 09 YZ450 on Thurs. I'm hoping to try an fit my stock WR 2.1 tank or my Clarke 3.6 gal on the YZ. We will see if it goes on. Your findings give me hope.

I put a 2007 wr450 oem tank on my 2007 yz250f. I wedged yZf shrouds to fit but tank and seat fit no problem.

I think your WR tank should go on with WR shrouds. We put IMS 3.2 gal tanks on the WR's that fit the YZ's. The IMS tanks do take the YZ shrouds.

Do the Acerbis and Clarke tanks keep the WR shrouds? Is one a lot better than the other?

That's interesting you mentioned those two as the IMS is the most out of the way and best looking IMO.

Yeah, and I've read it's the best of the three as well.  But I also read you have to use the YZ radiator shrouds with the IMS as well, and if I can avoid buying a second set of shrouds/graphics, I'd like to.

Actually I have seen WR shrouds on the IMS YZ tank. You just don't put the two bolts on the top in.
