Fork gold valve install completed

We have completed our forks. After making all of the specialty tools required thanks to (motoman). It took us a considerable amount of time to disassemble the first fork leg.(we were very careful not to do any damage that would cause us downtime or money). Once we completed the first leg the second leg was quick and easy. (important) Unfortantly when we took the second leg apart we noticed that when installing the cylinder seal (which requires removal of the valve holder at the end of the dampening rod) there was a small spring inside the dampening rod. OOPS!!!!!!!!! "Where the hell did that come from?!?!? ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" :):D BEWARE: the spring can easily escape! Good luck trying to find the little bastard! We never even saw it on the first leg. Soooo...unfortunately disassembly of our fully completed leg was no required....damn it. The moral of the story....watch out for the spring.

We were fortunate to be able to get in touch with John Curea and seek his advice regarding the spring and it's function...Thanks a ton John for your input with our little project, even though we had to remove the midvalve..LOL.

So...now all that is left is go ride the Gold Valves and see what we did! We'll keep you all posted on the ride! Thanks again for all your input.
