Unequal Pitch Springs - Have Gun, Need Travel

1 post in this topic

Love the WR450, but the suspensions is too soft for my 220 pound riding weight. My WR450 manual puts the .440 Unequal Pitch Spring (UPS) on the stiff end of the chart while a .440 Equal Pitch Spring (EPS) is in the middle of the chart. I need a soft rate for the first 4 inches of travel on Redcone Rocks with enough stiffness to launch book shelve ledges at Rabbit Valley when the notion moves me. Anybody in TT world know the "rule of thumb" for charting unequal length springs to body weight ?. :)
