Thumb throttle for WR400f 1999 have no wrist movement

Thumb throttle for WR400f 1999 have no wrist movement due to plates, has anyone come up with a way of modifying this bike to Thumb Throttle

Just bolt on a quad throttle, don't use the return cable. Just make sure your return spring is working correctly. A friend had to do this when he broke his wrist.

I would think you could use a throttle from the yfz450 quad.

Is it hard to ride with plates in the wrist? It's such a small joint but I know an injury with a wrist can really effect how someone holds on to the bars

I'm running one on my drz400. Its a yfz450 throttle. Pick one up on eBay.
