Cr250 piston and bore size

5 posts in this topic

Has there been any changes in bore and piston size from 1991 to 2007? I was wondering if an 01 cr250 piston would fit in my 91 cr 250? I measured with a caliper but its not accurate to read 66.4 etc

86-96

97-01

02-04

05-07

Interchange years, pretty sure that's correct.

That looks pretty right to me, I'm not as positive on the 86-96 number, but I don't know much of anything about those bikes. Hard to believe big red didn't have an engine redesign that incorporated a change in bore diameter for a whole decade lol. But then there's the last HPP engine from 97-01, and the first case reed engine with the flat top piston, followed by the domed piston on the 05-07
