Dirt Bike mag YZ450F WORCS bike

2 posts in this topic

Loved the new dirt bike mag, and the cover story. I own a 2010 yz450f and was interested in doing some of the same mods to my bike as Dirt Bike did to their yz450f WORCS bike. I have a couple of questions on that article that maybe some thumpertalkers can help me out with:

1. What gearing would you run on a WORCS bike (like the one in the article)?

2. Would you add a 4.4oz. flywheel weight to it? Or is that not necessary with WORCS? What about Hare Scrambles?

3. Is that even necessary when you have an injectioneering throttle body? And can any of you vouch for Injectioneering?

4. Last but definitely not least, what EFI mapping would you use for WORCS and/or Hare Scrambles?

I apologize if any of these topics have been discussed already! If so, would you mind pointing me to the right direction?

Best,

Ryan

On question #2, absolutely yes. The weight will let the engine pull harder at a lower RPM and help keep it from stalling.
