Been riding an 07 CRF150F for the last 4 years, along with a few rides on my dad's 09 420 fourtrax. Looking to buy a 400 or 450.

On the classifieds near me I can only find KFX's and DVX's, been looking around for a 400ex like mad but can't find one anywhere worth looking at.

Any opinions on, say, an 06 DVX 400? Found one that looked mint for a good price.

Also, for those who want to know, I'm 5'9" at 140 pounds without gear. I have used a few YFZ 450's and a KFX 400 once (not enough to really get a feel for the KFX) so I do have a bit of experience with these bikes and I'm not afraid of the power or anything.

If anyone has any suggestions, shoot!

DVX, KFX and z400 are all great quads. They are the same quad besides plastic, all made by Suzuki. I owned an 03 KFX for 8 years and never had any issues with it. Just kept up with oil changes and air filter cleanings. I never even adjusted the valves lol

If I can get my hands on a 400ex, that's what I want the most but I heard good things about those 3 too. Heard the ride wasn't as comfortable as the Honda but still good. Is there any years of those bikes I should stay away from?

Recommend looking into warriors too you can pick up nice ones for dirt cheap

Wouldn't want anything smaller than 400 tbh, and not a big fan on yammys. There's none around where I live anyways

If I could find a 250r where I live for a good price believe me I'd get it! But they're really hard to come by down here

Just an idea, were do u live?

Newfoundland, Canada. It's kind of isolated from the rest of Canada so I guess that's why they're hard to come by.

Get a KFX/DVX/Z400. They're just like a 400ex in terms of reliablity but they have reverse, better suspension and are liquid cooled. They're all the same as well so parts are very easy to come by. I had a KFX400, they're a lot of fun and you can hop them up to run with 450's if you want.

I'm open to any good deals between these 4 bikes! Going to look at a 400ex on Monday. One of my friends I used to ride with a few years ago owns it and it's not on any classifieds so I get first grab at it. Still looking around for good deals though. They all seem like great bikes.

id say the ltz because its the original company even though dvx,kfx are the same as ltz. 400ex are bullet proof you could do anything to them and theyll never break lol

If you get a trail quad no question 400ex or ltz400. Ltz-2005 and up. 400ex-2005 and up for reverse

Why 05 and up ltz? I don't overly mind the fact that it has no reverse but I can see where it would get annoying.

Exactly what he put. I had an 03 ltz400 that was built up pretty good but no suspension upgrades. Stock pogos were horrible on the trails. The piggyback shocks are tons better. Ive ridden my buds 06 ltz400 and it rode 10x better.
