Diagnosing a problem

I just bought an 04' yz450f.I had a mechanic service the bike yesterday.First it wouldn't idle.,he cleaned the carb changed the plug and changed the oil. When he pulled the drain plug only a quarter quart came out and he said it was gear oil.It was milkly I thought it was a head gasket. He put 3 quarts of oil back in.I read later that it only takes 1.1 quarts to fill it when dry.I then started the bike and old oil was streaming out of a bolt on piece next to the head.Is this a fixable problem,or was I scamed by the seller.I need help.....TED

i believe there are 2 drain plugs on the 04?

and maybe the bolt to check the oil pressure is loose?

i wouldent go back to that mechanic.

That particular mechanic should go back to installing tires on cars.

The drain plug in the crankcase will only drop about 6 ounces after the bike's been run for a couple of minutes. There's a drain on the front of the bottom of the frame downtube that will drain the rest. Here are the details on the oil change:

Don't know what bolt you're talking about, but with 3 quarts in, it should be streaming out of someplace.

This is the first time I have seen grey mess up this bad! The person that did that oil change is no mechanic! LOL. He would probably put 150 psi in each tire and forget to put the fourth one on!

You may have something there.
