Yamaha YZ 450F Case replacement?

1 post in this topic

I am replacing a engine case on a YZ 450 the case is broken at the clutch piviot. I purchased a used case ( matched set ) about 2 months ago. Today we disembled the engine. We started to clean the used case and found the case to be broken in the crank area. The thing is that it is broken on the side we do not need. I know the dealer wants both halves to be line bored and matched. I am looking for opinions on what we may get into by only using one side ( not a matched set) .

Thanks for your comments.
