Tweaked front end

2 posts in this topic

While riding at Rampart range today someone slid into my front tire and tweaked the steering to the left. I smacked the wheel up against the side of a tree and got it fairly straight. The wheel is not bent. My question is, should I loosen the fork clamp bolts and retorque? Any suggestions???

Loosen the clamp bolts a little then:

Get a couple yardsticks or anything straight. Put one down as low as you can across your forks and the other as high as you can so you can sight down from your handlebars to get everything straight again. Now tighten up and go ride...
