  1. At Erzberg a 2 hour penalty would result in a late finish which would be the same as a disqualification. It all ends the same as it is a one race timed event. Romaniacs is a multi day race with longer days so a 2 hour penalty would not necessarily keep you from finishing in time for the day.
  2. If you may still have the Conti TKC's they are having a factory recall on them. Have your dealer run your vin# and you may get a free set of tires mounted. Dunlop 606 are a great solution for a DOT replacement.
  3. Interested in hearing how this shock works out. My 20 year old Works shock is in need of a rebuild and not sure I want to invest the cost of a rebuild if a newer shock will work better.
  4. After charging the battery and letting it equalize unplugged for an hour you should have 12.6 volts showing. Also unhook the battery and clean all the connections an make sure all connections are tight.
  5. You may have the chain to tight. The chain should have some play in it.
  6. Choke lever down is off, normal riding position.
  7. Leave the stock factory covers on your CRF 250F.
  8. I believe the older bike had a little smaller carb bore. The smaller bore can produce more low and mid range.
  9. Perfect bike to move up to. Same size as an XR/CRF 100. The CRF150F is a much bigger bike even though it has the same size wheels, also about 100 lbs heavier. The CRF150R is a completely Different animal and is really more of a race bike than a beginner tail bike.
  10. I love the BrakeTec brakes on my 22 501S. Far better rear control than any Brembo on previous bikes. Currently have about 2000 miles on mine and bedded in the pads good and hard when new.
  11. Be sure that the fuel screw has the correct spring, washer and tiny little o-ring all in the correct positions. Also check that the port it screws into is clear.
  12. Yes it happens. Please ride with a spark arrestor. IF you start a fire you can be charged. I have started two fires on my own property with a chainsaw in the past, it really happened. Came across some jeepers cutting up a fallen tree across the trail out above Spicer reservoir years ago. we waited for them to finish and move on while we ate our lunch. As we were getting ready to head out we noticed smoke coming up in a little spot were they had been cutting and hurried over to put it out. You need to have a spark arrestor!
