  1. I'm just looking for the most breathable gear out there. The old Moose Sahara and Fox 180 Airline were awesome, but they've changed.
  2. Im looking for the most breathable jersey and pants available today. Thanks!
  3. I wasn't lugging it, it was a test ride on pavement! Even the owner was stalling it. I put the bike in gear with the clutch in and it stalled. My Wr250f luggs pretty well, not 2t good , but good enough for hare scrambles.
  4. I was super pumped about switching from my Yamaha to a slightly used 2017 ktm 350xcf. I test rode it today and it stalled and stalled. A few weeks back I was looking at a 2016 xcf and the seller was talking about things he did to improve the flame outs. These bikes new cost 10k!!!! Why is this an issue? I paid 3k for my used bike and it runs like a champ. I don't get all the hype.
  5. I don't see a lot of people putting too much luggage on an xr650. (Are you sure you want to get rid of your klr;-) The stock gearing is pretty tall on the 650L, especially if you're a big guy. Dropping to a 14 tooth sprocket up front is a must, and you'll still be fast enough in traffic (comfortable at 65mph). If you then go from 45 to 48 on the rear (14 front), you'll get even more torque, but then you're looking at cruising around 55-60mph. Cheers!
  6. Just for fun, my 2007 BRP I just tricked out with stickers to give her a little personality;-) Murica!

    Great dual sport!
  8. Good idea. If you're around 200 or more lbs, you'll see a huge improvement in torque by dropping to a 14 tooth.
  9. I can see a surgeon telling everyone he's a surgeon.... However the post seems a bit curious to me. Like if he is working 100hrs a week and has 4 kids, there's no way we wrote this detailed of description, and how many bikes does he have time for? If you like it, and everything looks good, then offer lower than your willing to pay, if he doesn't bite then raise it to what you think is a fair price and stick to it. He's probably more concerned with his time if his story is true. Another big thing is... Be nice! People will walk from a deal if they feel like the other person is a jerk.
  10. Most people prefer the uni foam filter over the k&n. Dave's mod will help with throttle response. De smogging will help with the popping on decel, and on my bike it even starts better de smogged. Most people do Dave's mod over a dynojet kit. I did the dyno kit and it's slightly better than stock throttle response. If you're around 200lbs or over I would suggest a 14 tooth front sprocket. Easy cheap upgrade that adds lots of torque. But if your lighter and you can get 75mph fairly quick, you may not need it.
  11. Just a thought, maybe try manually cranking the crankshaft and listen to make sure everything sounds right. Keep us posted. Good luck.
  12. Good idea. Unfortunately I already has tinnitus, but I certainly don't want to make it any worse. I think I will start wearing ear plugs.
