  2. 1 - I'm a new beta owner so can't speak of this yet. 2 - tons of aftermarket parts, just might not be on a big website. Dealers have tons of addon goodness 3 - oem parts seem reasonable to me and in California beta usa ships parts super quick
  3. Turning right under speed causes the bike to dive. In my opinion it's very dangerous. The right side fork does only rebound, the left does compression. I'm not sure about other years bikes but that's the way it was for my 22. My KTM was similar to this, but it wasn't as bad.
  4. I got a 22 300rr about a month ago. I'm a first time Beta owner so I can't compare it to a previous one but I can compare it to my 19 ktm 300 tpi. The motor seems almost electric. I do mostly single track / hardish enduro riding and the motor just feels perfect for me. I'm using the stock pipe with just a fmf spark arrestor. The forks I feel are outright dangerous. I felt extremely uncomfortable taking right turns with speed as the right fork has zero compression. My KTM had a similar fork setup but for whatever reason I didn't have the same feeling with that fork. Turning left was very consistent. I have purchased the KYB forks from Beta and will be installing them soon to test.
  5. If you are questioning the oil, try using ATF. It's made for wet clutch and gears.
  6. I have a 16 250x and I love it. I would recommend getting the 270mm front rotor kit (rotor and caliper adapter bracket). This makes a big difference if you go into corners hot like me. ;-)
  7. I had the same problem with mine, the powervalve mod (removing a washer) helped alot.
  8. See this video for more info:
  9. I have both bikes and the vibration on my yzx doesn't bother me.
  10. Cool post some night time pictures when you're all set.
  11. I got a 19 300 tpi as well. I did the essentials, skid plate/bark busters/ disc guard as well as springs for my weight. Optionals I did were radiator fan, spark arrestor and tubliss as I ride tight single track a lot. One thing I don't see mentioned that I think is a must, is switching out the gray throttle cam for the black one. It should come with your manual, really livens up the throttle response. The bike was way too 4strokey for me until I did this.
  12. What metering rod do you guys run? I bought one for my 250x and I could never get rid of a huge flat spot in the midrange. I ended up going back to the stock carb.
  13. I have a 16 YZ250X and correcting the squish made a world of difference for me. It was the first bike I've ever done it for so I was skeptical at first but it was easy enough to correct if I didn't like the result.
  14. I have a 2016 YZ250X and 2002 YZ250. The 2002 YZ stock suspension was terrible and needed to be revalved right away. The YZX isn't anywhere near as bad as the 2002. As far as the suspension compared to the beta, the beta stock vs yzx stock might be more plush for rocky trails. I know with my bike, it's great for desert stock but rocky gnarly single track leaves a little to be desired. When you get the bike, turn in the rebound clickers a little bit until it gets to the plushness you want and then take it from there. In order for it to totally match want you want though you'll probably need a revalving.
  15. How is the seal on the exhaust pipe to the cylinder? Are the reeds in good condition? You can check those without doing a leak test. Remember if the exhaust pipe is damaged and not sealing correctly that will greatly lean your motor out.
