The guy said he bought it 2 weeks ago from a farmer and the motor didn't work.. He rebuilt the top end along with put new valve seats in it. He has the price at $1,800... My question is, what else normally needs to be replaced on a 4 stroke like this in order for the engine to be like new?... Do the valves themselves need to be replaced? What other questions should I ask him? Thanks

I have been out of the game for a couple years now. I've owned all kinds of bikes growing up and my last bike was an '05 YZ250. Now that I have a good paying job, I am wanting to get back into it. I am looking for an '05-'08 CRF450R or YZ450F but I am wondering about the reliability of both. I'm sure they are both very reliable but what do you guys think? Thanks

How do you guys race with the possibility of crashing and having injuries that are thousands of dollars? Is there any way possible to get health coverage specifically for racing? My dad doesn't want me to race unless we have coverage....our health insurance doesnt cover competetive racing accidents and it sucks....

I actually don't have it yet.. I'm pickin it up tuesday.. I just put a down payment on it so the dealer wouldn't sell it..

i paid $3300 for it..a little high but I got it from an extremely reputable dealer..plus the aftermarket suspension in itself is worth a lot to me..i don't do hardly anything outside of motocross

I sold my 2001 CR250 which was my pride and joy, but the empty spot in my heart just got filled again:applause: I just bought a 2005 YZ250 with a procircuit full system, applied triple clamps, factory connection suspension, and renthal bars...I just wanted to ask too how the YZ250 was in 2005?? I know it hauled ass but i am curious how it compared to other models of that year??? pictures will follow soon

i was in st. louis too and rv was PISSED after the race.. he's such a little bitch IMO...and im not too biased about reed, but he definately didn't have it tonight.....and there was a NASTY crash on turn 2 involving someone who flew off his bike over the berm, his body went like 5 feet in the air and landed on concrete, the bike did the same and sparks went everywhere, and both slid down the hallway where football players go...

yeah thats what i did..I put mine on craigslist for 2500 and got 2 calls but they fell through.. I think i'm going to try like $2100 now

My parents are making me sell my pride and joy because of a bribe they gave me where they would help me pay for an 06 Colorado if I sold my bike..(I'm getting another one in the future don't worry) anyway I dont want to sell it but I have to..It is a 2001 CR250 with all black acerbis plastics, black number plate, black FX seat cover, FMF SST pipe, FMF Powercore 2 Silencer, V-Force 3 Reed Valve, Pro Taper Bars, Almost new Maxxis tires, D.I.D. Gold X-Ring chain on almost new sprockets....this bike is BADASS...thats why it is going to be so hard to sell...what do you guys think I could get out of it??? I'm thinking like $2150??? Here is a picture taken back in february but I only rode it twice since then so it just has a couple scratches now...very minor
