  1. Sounds like fun... 🤠
  2. Team Mucho Twist will be there... 444x
  3. My new project. IMS Oversized tank, FMF GYRT Titanium slip-on, Work Connection REM MX skid plate, O-ring Chain, 14T ctr sprocket, stock springs and valving with sag @ 110mm. Next steps: Work Connection Longer Link, Dr D Eng and Rad relocation kits, BRP sub-mount with Scotts damper. Replace the leaky IMS oversized tank. Yeah, I'm like the third guy in my group with an IMS tank issue on this model bike. Leaky around fuel pump...

  5. So here it is, a little earlier this year, but this time it will be a 5 or 6 race series via 'The New' Score? No map out yet and race is 2-weeks away?! Whaaaattt?!?! Another big race already in January!? Baja Sur 500 this year? Can everyone really afford two races a year in La Paz area? Will there be any Kawi, KTM or even Honda Pro teams this year? Was in San Felipe last weekend an it was DEAD! No one there, no one pre-running yet, hmmm...
  6. It was a great time as usual! If you haven't had tire problems whether it be a Bib, Tube, Dunlop, Bridgestone, etc, you just haven't been riding in Baja long enough or fast enough! I agree with Tim 18 course changes was ridiculous, especially for 'normal' folks that don't have tons of GPS techy stuff to go around for the whole team once down in Mexico. You could argue the course was a bit much, especially in a few sections down south, but that's Baja. Too bad for Tony and team, hope his family recovers well! We've all had some close calls on those roads down there! ...and Smith, so close, but so far! Ah.... Without universal wheels on dirt bikes, and without Team Honda pits, extra wheels/options at each pit is a thing of the past for sure. Better be ready to pull an Eddy and change your own! Lol... I think I saw a few of Tim's take off's at Pit 18 too! LOL... Our 310x mega team or army of riders did great job, with the two over 50 riders and myself with my 2 months out of the Hospital pulling short 50 miles or less sections. The other 5 guys did the heavy lifting! I always come back from each Baja race trip with so many new stories that I don't even have the time nor energy to re-tale but always relive them again and again! Hope that somehow the bikes live on in the new SCORE! - The new 300x! ;o)
  7. Got on a team last week, 310x. Team Monkey Business 310x and looks like we'll have the entire Zoo riding the bike, but I'm ok with that this year! I'll be down in Loreto, likely doing RM 915 Baja Pit 18-19, then later RM 1088 Baja Pit 21- 22. Should be good times! If I get a chance I'll post some stuff here, but with FB ease of access it's more my outlet for posting this type stuff now... Abney
  8. Not sure whether to post this in this post or the 1000 post, maybe both?! Got on a team last week, 310x. 9. Yeah bummer about no San Felipe though. With all the new pavement over there it would become easier to chase if they could cut in some trails 'off' the Pavement. Think it's paved all the way to Gonzaga now? Hopefully everyone is doing better down there now. Any word on if all the Motels and resorts are getting fixed up in time so everyone can get a place to stay too...
  10. I know its early, but any rumors yet? How bout this one: Rumor #1 - Heard there is way too much damage down South now to consider a point to point race as planned this year. Hope all down there are ok...
  11. http://score-international.com/2014-SF250-overall/ Results from this year...
  12. I will call this the race that the silent majority missed as a Boycott out of respect for Kurt... Besides jumping on the Boycott out of respect for Kurt bandwagon: My personal list of 20 excuses why I left before the race: Not many bike guys there to call it a real race(20 total) entry fee almost 2x what it was last year, hotel doubled the rate from last year, still sore from my head on with a Quad 3 weeks ago, weak on energy from Montezuma, didn't have ride yet, even if I got a ride did I want to push it and race and maybe get hurt worse, decided I'd rather spend my last $500 for the trip on something else back home. Went to Phx and looked at 2014 Husabergs and bought some sweet footpegs for the 5-hundy. I'm probably more fullfilled with those new pegs than staying to be a back up rider for Johnson or Oneal, lol... (but really thanks for the offers guys) PS: Had a small herd of 4 small to medium sized horses run right up to me as I rode on the course a mile after I left Kurts Memorial. Made me think. PS: Oh yeah and I almost had a head on over Mike Sky Ranch with a local trophy truckin down the course backwards in his Jeep Cherokee...
  13. Pre run update. Rode from start thru to Valle T and from what I call 'the new Borrego' to the finish so far in first two days down here this trip. Only have The Summit sections to do and will run that for first time this trip either Monday or Tuesday. First part of course is very fun until you hit the 20 miles of whoops into Morelia Jct. Then fun and fast all the way to Valle T from there with some backwards traffic come past Mikes just before Valle T, use caution. Whoops from New Borrego into San Felipe same as last year start but backwards and if you usually took the lines closer to the hwy becareful a landowner has bulldozed about 100ft section up for hwy towards mountains. Some of those lines near hwy won't work for ya'll... Also saw Kawi boys and some Class 30 teams running around course. Sorta dead this weekend, but tons of conflicting races this weekend likely ate into a otherwise great pre run weekend. PS: Still looking for a team that might need another rider. Lol...
  14. On my way across @ Mexicali tomorrow and will be pre-running entire course a section each day. If anyone needs an extra rider I will be floating around looking for a ride. - Abney
  15. Course map is out and I almost can't believe it! When was the last time the 250 had Mikes Sky Ranch and the Summit in it!? Really!? Whoa...
