  1. Depends on what you want to do. The CRF100F my wife has is a great little bike, I smoked dudes on a KTM350xc, beta 300rr, yz250fx and cr250 one day on it while I was putting a top end in my 300. But I’m an A level rider and they were trail riders. It’s a good bike though and if a 220 pound dude that does fine in vet A can ride it fairly fast, and it holds up….The major problem is it has drum brakes front and rear so it doesn’t stop great. Not a problem, you can still rip it but it’s WAY harder to do stoppies and is not great for wheelies because you do them with it and get used to the rear brake and the first time you’re on your real race bike and you slam the front wheel down instead of correcting angle. The kawis have disk front and rear. To mess around on a CRF100F is great though edit: just read it will be your only bike. Great bikes that you can do almost anything on. I ride it for fun and I have a 2020 trials bike and 2021 300 2 stroke. It will be super fun! The brakes won’t be a problem if you aren’t jumping on a race bike right after
  2. Here’s some various engine loads but none of the noise I’m talking about. Just what it sounds like most of the time. Still stock jetting so not horrendous but could be cleaned up for sure. It usually sounds and feels just fine. But under heavy load it’s like a single short chirp but a little longer. I thought it was the clutch but considering how stiff the pull is this clutch should be nuclear bomb proof… surprising from a trials company, seems stiffer pull than I remember my 2015 300rr. sounds really negative, there is lots to like about this bike
  3. Anyone have input? Thanks, I’m just lost on it!
  4. My 21 is not a beast either… at all, enough power for me though. Pivot turns take nothing really as far as power goes. I’m going to gear mine down if. It doesn’t blow up first, just simply because first is too low to be really useable and second is a little too high for dead engine starting effectively for racing. Also want first a little lower for trials type stuff and just mostly ride second and up. But sprocket combos are pretty subjective subject (sorta like tires😂) My opinion is the 300rr is a good trail bike, not a a great race bike but passable. Kinda wish I would’ve waited for a 22 race edition…. Or a 22 Gasser, Especially if I am having an oil injection failure currently 🥲
  5. I thought it was the clutch until I started researching this noise. I still thought having clutch noise was really weird and/or bad. Should I ride it hard and have it fail or take it to the shop or what? I’ve only bought 2 brand new bikes and they both did 400 problem free hours (besides basic maintenance) so I’m not sure what to do
  6. So, I just bought a 2021 300rr, about 1 month ago. I’ve noticed under heavy load a loud screeching. I only have 120 miles on it so far… not hours, miles. Does this too sound like OI failure? It’s still under warranty but I’m not sure if that’s cover, I’d hope so….
  7. I was going to register but had to buy a omra license first. I figured I’d just get the 2 year since I’ll probably do some races but then found out everything is canceled. Hopefully I get 2021-2022 instead... of not it’s going to a good cause. A hard enduro would have been fun!
  8. Anyone heard an update on this race?
  9. I left colorful Colorado for the PNW 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. My first thought is carb issues. Has it been sitting?
  11. For Colorado ST, if I were to buy a Honda it would be a CRF250RX. Plenty of power even if people will try to tell you it’s not. They’re really good bikes! I personally am a 2 stroke guy but if you’re main focus is mountain st in Colorado And want a 4 stroke then a 250rx, yz250fx, 250xcf, 350xcf, 350exc, 350rr, 390rr will all fill the bill. 450x Or 450rx would be fine too but better desert bike that st bike... but still great all around.
  12. I know he replaced the battery, I’ll have him check the grounds!
  13. 2012 KTM 300 with electrical issues. The lights won’t stay on. They light up as I kick start the bike for a second and once again while I kill the engine. Also the electric start doesn’t work. I’ve gone through the wires and everywhere seems to be getting power. I replaced the starter Solenoid last spring. Looks like the new once could be damaged and missing a fuse again. When the battery is plugged in the electric starter will make a clicking noise sometimes. posting this for a buddy, it’s kinda vague. Any ideas?
