I have a 99 400f and I need a new front fender. I was wondering if I replace the front plate as well can I use the newer style front fender and plate??? I have an applied triple clamp and it came with a L shaped adapter for the plate. THANKS JIM

Yes, you may need the adapter to mount the # plate. The 99 bolt is thru the plate (horizontal) whereas the 01 bolt is behind the plate (vertical).

I made my 01' YZ426 bolt horizontal...because every time I would crash the external tab would bust off and I would need to buy another # plate! The 98-99 setup works better IMO and doesnt break each time you wreck! Later,

Garrett
