2006 to 2012 triple clamp swap

Hello there,

I was wondering if anyone has swapped out a 2006 to 2012 triple clamp....I have taken measurements and found that the 2006 is 19.5cm, whereas the 2012 is 19cm. Can I press out the steering stem and swap between the two.....they look identical execpt for the length?

The '06 clamps are a 25mm offset, while the '10 and up are offset 22mm. I don't think you'd like the effect on handling, but you can decide that, I suppose. You'll also give up the additional optional bar positions.

Check the width difference, if any, also.
