Hey yall,
Im currentley helping a buddy of mine pulling the tranny out of his 92 F250 for a blown front pump seal. We encountered a minor hiccup when trying to get the dipstick out. The bracket that holds the dipstick to the trans housing has 2 pieces that are on a stud sticking out from the engine. We got the outer nut off and now are trying the figure out how to get the inner nut/stud out to pull the trans as it seems to be a stud from the engine. Any thoughts?

Its just like a bolt with a stud welded to the top-just use a deep socket on it.those trans are heavy-work safe

I leave the dipstick in place and remove the trans down off of them. replace the o-ring before you go back together.
