So ive got a 07 cr250 and i just picked up a 2001 yz250 carb. I was told on the pwk conversion fourm what wires to splice together. But the problem is that those color coated wires are differnt on my 07 cr250 mikuni carb. Ive got a wire that is green/blue, a wire thats yellow/blue, and a wire thats yellow/red.. and the kehin has a black, yellow and blue wire.. which wire goes to which? Let me know soon please im wanting to get the bike put back together as soon as possibile but im waiting to find this out..

Thats what im saying though.. there is no yellow/black wire on the mikuni.

The mikuni is my stock carb on my 07 cr250

And the kehin has the yellow, black and blue wires. Off a 01 yz250

The colors I posted are the colors of the Mikuni on my 06 and 05 wiring (harness I snipped to wire in the plug to the PWK). As far as I know this wiring diagram also helped ABPT and others wire their TPS up, kind of odd your carb has different color combos.

I'd wire them up and take a multimeter and check against the readings listed in the manual (lists what each wire should read at certain throttle positions.).

To make sure you got it correct, you can use the following from the Yamaha manual (pages 516, 518):

TPS coil resistance:

Wires:
Tester (+) leadBlue lead 1
Tester (–) leadBlack lead 2

Result: 4~6kΩ at kΩ × 1

TPS coil variable resistance: check that the resistance in increased as the lever 1 is moved from the full close position to the full open position.

Wires:
Tester (+) leadYellow lead
Tester (–) leadBlack lead

Result:
Full Closed: 0~2kΩ
Full Opened: 4~6kΩ
