DIY suspension people,

What cleaning solvent do you recommend for using on the front fork internal parts?

Automotive Cold Parts Cleaner?
Diesel Fuel?
Mineral Spirits?

I'm not a suspension people, but have used diesel and tranny fluid with good results. :)

I've used old 2 stroke mix with no bad results, but like to use kerosene if I have it. I'm sure the seasoned brain surgeons here will have all kinds of better recommendations but this has always worked for me, and I've done it quite a few times.

The instruction tape that came with my Race-Tech gold valves just says use solvent.
