if you have stock reeds try 42pj, needle on 2, 172 main. start with the air screw at 1.5 turns out. it should idle using that PJ, and the needle and main are good at sea level here so it should be a little rich at 2k feet and leave room for you to adjust from there.

Why do you want your bike to idle? To foul plugs?

2 stroke bikes really dont like to idle.

My 2 stroke idles like a 4 stroke all day and never fouls plugs. This is a myth fabricated by people trying to screw buyers into buying their clapped out pieces of crap by telling them that the reason it runs like crap is because "2 strokes are not meant to idle".

One more thing, I watched a race from 03 with Ricky Carmichael and at the end of it he pulled off the track to pick up his mechanic in the pit area and his 2 stroke sat and idled like a 4 stroke. Any well tuned bike will idle 2 stroke or 4 stroke.

My 2 stroke dont idle because when im trail riding, if i come off the bike i want the back wheel stopped if i happen to fall into it.

Have seen fingers almost lost because a bikes engine kept goin when his hands went in.

I have seen mx boots literally grinded to the ankle bone of another person. He still walks funny.

I have a couple of things i like about my bike not idling(it will if i want it to)

What advantages does having it idling do? NONE

Ok, saying that you jetted your 2 stroke so it wouldn't idle for safety reasons and saying that a 2 stroke "isn't meant to idle so it won't foul a plug" is a completely different statement.
