Stupid Clutch Cable Question

Recently bought a 2002 YZ250.  I'm confused on how the cable is supposed to be routed on the frame.  Any good pics out there showing placement?  It of course starts on the left side,  is it supposed to run thru the right side of frame?

I believe it should run on the left side of the frame. The owners manual should have a cable routing diagram,
