So I noticed my Rear tire is missing a spoke. Is it safe to ride it for the rest of the season? I'll probably replace it next spring when I change my tires. I just want to make sure Its safe

I have a XT350 and Its mainly driven <50MPH on paved roads / light gravel or dirt trails.

You will probably be ok but... realize missing a spoke puts more stress on the rest of the wheel. This means the chance of other spoke snapping is increased.

Why did the one break? Fatigue? The rest are properly tightenend, the rim true?

Unsure why its missing. Just bought the bike not too long ago. From a glance it looks like it might have just loosened and fell out.

Spokes do not 'fall out'. They snap either from being over stressed or a stick (or a lock) breaking them.

you will be fine, unless you plan on setting a new jump record one missing wont be a problem but do get it replaced asap. i know a guy on e bay sells individual spokes for like 3 bucks

Yep, it looks like it snapped.

I'm planning on riding a little bit before replacing, so I'll tighten the spokes next it and loosen the one across

Ekulb14, do you have the username of that guy on ebay?
