OK, so im looking at a shoe/boot i can wear when riding my street bike that has protection but is comfortable enough for everyday use. So far, ive looked at the A-Star S-MX-1 and Sidi Streetburner, Teknic Chicane, and Tecknic Stiker. Im looking for something like that, that is more of a shoe but still has protection. Any ideas?
Thanks

A general rule.. The more walking comfort you have, the less crash protection you have, and vise versa.
A good pair of leather work boots with a hard sole (found at somewhere like your neighborhood HD store) will fill the bill for what it sounds like your looking for. Some protection, but able to wear them all day. Just don't get something with a soft, high traction sole. You crash , your foot hits the pavement, the gum ball sole grips, and your tib/fib shatters (seen it happen way more times than I care to).

I ride in the Astar S-MX5's and I feel they are great boots. http://www.rockymoun...otorcycle-Boots
I would recomend something with a little more protection for your shins which is why I don't like the S-MX1's.

These boots I also like;  Sidi fusions- http://www.rockymoun...otorcycle-Boots
I was going to get the Astars or the Sidi's. I ended up getting the Astars because they were in stock all the shop.

These boots seem like they would fit the bill too AXO Primato II's- http://www.rockymoun...otorcycle-Boots
I don't know much about the AXO's so you may want to do a research. I just tried to find something that was around the price range of the MX-1's.

Also, I'm not affiliated with RMATV, but I used their website for informational purposes.
