Alright long story short I bought the bike off some retarded airforce kid that abused maintenance on the bike and rode it around on a farm.  Anyway the fool stated that he replaced the fork seals because they were leaking.  I'm not bike mechanic, actually I'm brand new to dirt biking but the bike looked trashed and i bought it for $1200 shame on me for not knowing when to walk away.

TO THE PROBLEM:  I don't believe my forks are working at all, I went to a mx track and my arms were killing with serious arm pump and any little jump felt like I just drop from 50ft in the air and it hurt/was uncomfortable.

My left fork has 26 clicks from all the in to all the way out.  My right fork has 32 clicks from all the in to all the way out.   What is suppose to be the max number of clicks?  Also what can I do to fix this?  or are these forks trash?

Should I just order some new forks on ebay for $200?

I read the manual and the max number of clicks is suppose to be 20.  So something is wrong, I see a lot of view but no post.   Any idea what could be causing this?

which clickers are you talking about - rebound (top) or compression (bottom)?

That would be the rebound clickers (TOP)

check if the top cap sits correctly on the rod. the illustration is for closed cartridge forks, but it's the same procedure on your open chamber forks:

Awesome little drawing I'll try that.. unscrew the rebound clickers all the way out and try to seat it.

Alright, I got around to taking it apart, bad news is the caps would not come off with a wrench.  I stripped it a little bit  , luckly I got a impact, and managed to get the damn thing off.
Unscrewed the top, and tightened the bottom part as much I as I could.  I reset the top and hand tightened it down, and used a wrench the rest of the way.  Set everything but up, and now both forks have 21 clicks.  Its 1 more then it's suppose to have but atleast both forks are EVEN!!

Thanks for the help, I hope this makes riding a better.

I'm not too positive on that...

21 clicks is ok!

Don't buy another set of forks, as you won't know if they are any better. Spend the $200 on a rebuild.  Pull them apart, replace seals and bushings, check all parts for any problems.  What you describe is way beyond incorrect clicker settings.
