what are the specs for shiming the valves of a 82 xt250

You can download a service manual for an '82 SR 250 ( I believe it has the same motor as the XT ) :

Should be a cake walk . Screw and lock nut adjusters are quick and easy .

Well good but couldent find the specs for how right or loose they should be.

Im a 2 stroke guy

The manual doesn't have valve lash specs ?

I'm pretty sure they use the same motor . You should be safe using the specs in that manual .
