Take a piece of plastic or a film negative, stick it in and run it around the seal. Mine does this every so often and usually theirs dirt or small debris in there causing it to leak.

if you cant get the crud out of the seal then pull on the spring around the dust seal and twist it off a little tighter, cut the excess off, 60 percent of the time, it works every time

Learned this last year. I tried the Seal Mate a couple of times but couldn't stop the leak. Try the Motion Pro Seal Mate, film method, or Seal Doctor (http://www.riskracin...octor_Page.html) first to at least clean it out. Put some oil in the bleeder hole. Slide down the dust seal. Take small piece of paper towel and roll it up really tight. Fit into the seal gap the whole way around. Slide dust seal back up. Got me through practice and 6 motos that day :-)

You're not going to hurt your fork by taking an easy ride on your bike like that. As long as you're not jumping it and and compressing it real hard then you have nothing to worry about. Give your son a ride

I found a chunk of buisness card in my seals while changing them this weekend.
