My bike is a Beta, but it has the KTM 450 RFS motor in it. I am usually pretty careful when I look at a bike to buy, but I think I got a little excited and didn't look it over as well as I could have. When I got it home I took the front sprocket off to clean the gunk out behind it and the splines on the countershaft looked pretty worn. Do they all look fairly worn out or could mine be on its way out?

Any idea how many hours on the motor? I have seen splines wear on a 525, but only well after 200 hours. It is not very common. I don't think I have ever seen a complete failure.

Can you get a good quality photo of the shaft?

No hour meter but it only has 7000 kms on it. I have to do seals on it so I'll get a picture of it when I pull of the sprocket to fix that.
