How about a basic and advanced section for the suspension forum.
Basic for questions about sag and noob stuff. And advanced for more interesting things.
Or it could go even further
Forks, shocks, showa, kayaba, wp, marzo,
I just think it would be nice.
suspension subforums? basic? advanced?

I like the idea, but i have a feeling not everyone would use it for what its for. Some users will always think their question is advanced... Then you end up with a forum similar to what is already here and then a basic forum. Kinda the same way you have people asking if they should keep running the stock gear ratio in the engineering and technology forum.

Who decides which persons are allowed to post in the "advanced" section?

This sub forum doesn't get enough posts per day to warrant a split.

Breaking it down to the individual manufacturers subforums might not be helpfull as well.
Many riders don't know what fork/shock they have and, as kan already mentioned, it will be very likely too little volume on most subforums to warrant such a split.

Well. Your probably right.
As far as noob stuff i hate to see 300 questions a day in the suspension forum about which clicker is which and how do I set my sag and what's the oil level for.... just burying the good and interesting stuff.

By far most "basic" or "noob" questions get asked in the model specific forums from what I've seen. If you took those out, there would barely be enough volume of "the interesting stuff" to warrant a suspension forum. It's not up to me, but I don't see anything of the sort happening anytime soon. You're just going to have to sort out the dull stuff yourself.

I like the idea of an advance suspension forum... However, I have to agree that its just not practical, The forum mods would have to police this it like the Engineering and Technology forum (full-time job moving threads to there respectable forum). I typically don't post here (surf here daily!), but have appreciate the advance technical information from the top dozen or so forum (tuners) members the contribute in "advanced" discussion over the years. Keep it coming!
