if i bought a procyle jet kit would that get rid of an off idle bog? if i snap the throttle open it bogs and dies but other than that it runs great.  would the jet kit fix this or is this just something drz's do

And is there any way to get the drz's to rev any quicker. I raced it Saturday and the crf150f just seem to rev a lot quicker than my drz

I would start with getting the bog out first.  If its bogging, its really tuff to say how fast your bike is truely spooling up. is your bike bogging from being lean or rich?  Lots of info on this forum for stock carb settings.  Before I ordered up a jet kit, I would try those settings first

Tom
all ive done to my bike is open up the airbox at the top. but i recently covered it back uot to what it wold be stock. and i have some washers on the baffle screws so a little bit more exhaust can come out.  would that be a lean or rich bog?  i guess i will put the baffle on how it shold be stock and see if that fixes the bog.

edit-  i put the baffle on the way it was stock and it still does it.  heres a vid

You running the stock jetting ? Your bike stock ? Sounds louder than stock. If your adding extra air (intake exhaust mods) you need to jet up. If your stock and you start running bad start with cleaning the piss out of your carb. Blow out the jets ect. Make sure your main jets not clogged.

I didnt really see anything wrong.  This little bike has a flywheel that darn near weighs 3lbs.  This bike in stock form will not rev like a 250f.  Slamming the throttle open like that will more then likely always have the same result.  (i dont know if you have seen the inner rotor thread, but thats exactly the issue the inner rotors fix).  I bet if you slow down a tad on the throttle, it will respond positively.

Hi Tom I've seen the inner rotor thread and it seems pretty inconclusive unless the PVL is the only answer.  what are all the fast guys running ? I so want to join that club but my bike is having ignition troubles.

Sorry bruce but im running a pvl.....and it works awesome!  My bike revs basicly like a 250f.  I was watching how fast he was trying to spool her up.  I actually think my 250f would bog with a hit like that

only when i snap it in netrual.   i guess im used to how my dads cr250 and kx 125 rev up.  you can snap them open so quick and they never bog out once.

haha i guess im  just use to seeing my dads 125's rev up when you snap them open even quicker.  but i did email procyle awhile ago to ask about lightening my flywheel.  they said they could but would i notice a difference if i got that done?

I never really played with the stock one...but if there is room to remove alot of the weight then heck yeah youll notice.  Not snapping it like you did in the video, but as your banging gears youll notice it spooling up much more quickly

I'm going riding this weekend, I'll try snapping mine in neutral. I have the 190 kit with the 28mm carb and stock flywheel. I'll let you know

I rode my bIke this weekend and mid ride I stopped and snapped it wide open in neutral and it does the same as yours, tries to stall. I guess it's just that big azz flywheel.
